You took care of me
When I was lost
Adrift, never to be recovered
I was found
Love is what you gave to me
Like the small caress of a kiss at bedtime
Like the hand that holds mine to lift me up
When I have fallen, seemingly out of reach
You are like a mother to me
You love me like a mother would
And you have staked out a corner of my heart
Reminding me I am never alone
